Financial Planning

One of the most enjoyable and informative books I have ever read about financial planning was not exclusively about financial planning. Rather, it was The Power of Focus by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen and Les Hewitt. Yes, you may see a little Chicken Soup for the Soul in Canfield and Hansen. I felt the book was such a powerful tool because it talks not only about the financial picture but includes all the other necessary pieces. For example: Business-what are you currently doing to generate cash flow and what do you need to focus on for optimum results. Fun Time-What good is the grind without a hefty dose of this. You must plan this activity and give it the same weight as your other endeavors. Health-Don’t forget that this includes physical, Mental or Spiritual. Relationships-In the scheme of things this is my favorite and the most important. These include Family, Personal and business. Contribution-Is there any better feeling than helping out your favorite charity or special cause. Resolve to do this frequently this year! There are a lot of great books on Financial Planning but his book certainly helps us all prioritize what’s important to us and helps us chart our course! Great Reading.
