Men With Debt

I came across two different blogs written by men with debt and how they are/have dealt with it. The first is I am Facing Foreclosure, written by a 24 year old real estate entrepreneur gone bad! On the one hand I love the fact that the kid had the gumption to be a real estate flipper-but is now stuck with $2 Million dollars in debt-because he was stupid. He lied to get additional mortgages and he didn’t have the street sense to see that the hammer was going to fall on real estate flippers! His blog reads like a soap but I would guess that he will head to bankruptcy and eventually divorce court-it sucks to be Casey Serin right now.

On the other end of the spectrum is Shoemoney, who knows and lives Search Engine Optimization. In a wide ranging and very interesting interview, Jeremy Schoemaker tells of being in debt to the tune of $50,000 when he started blogging and learning search engine optimization. Must have worked-today he owns over 10,000 domain names and back in September of 2005 collected a Google AdSense check for over $132,000 dollars!

Can you really compare the two? Not really, but it is interesting to note how people handle the adversity of deep debt and the clever or resourceful methods they use to eliminate it once and for all.
